The Christmas tree in St. Mark’s Square has been lit.
A large, elegant and bright Christmas tree, 13 metres high between the columns of Marco and Todaro, has been lit in St. Mark’s Square and is clearly visible from St. Mark’s Basin.
The Christmas tree in St. Mark’s Square will be the main and most prominent element in the scenography of the Marcian area during the Christmas holidays. A path of lights will create a Christmas atmosphere, starting from the Procuratie will then continue along Calle Larga XXII Marzo to Santa Maria del Giglio. Here the light path ends with a second tree that recalls the Christmas tree in St. Mark’s Square.
